The CM/ECF system requires users to have at least Java Version 6, Update 1. A free download of the latest version of Java's software is available on Java's website by clicking on the Free Java Download button. A user can determine whether he has Java downloaded - and if so, what version is installed - by clicking the Do I have Java? link on Java's homepage. Click the Free Java Download button to install the latest version of Java if the diagnostic check shows the need for a version compatible with CM/ECF.

NOTE: Java may ask to add toolbars during the downloading process. Because these add-on toolbars could interfere with use of the ECF system, we recommend that users do not download or install toolbars.
